The Marketing & Brand Officer is an integral and important role within the Marketing & Communications team – and for the organisation as whole. This position works collaboratively with teams across the charity; giving both Marcomms vital marketing and brand oversight, as well as providing expert guidance on a diverse range of activities from services to fundraising.
As the post holder you’ll devise and lead the planning and implementation of targeted marketing plans for a variety of high-medium priority fundraising products, service and brand-led initiatives - all critical to meeting and maintaining our overall awareness and income goals. You’ll work proactively with the wider Marcomms team and Digital to plan and execute integrated plans and approaches; making best use of our resources and expertise, and where applicable, managing our agency and supplier relations. You’ll also be our organisational ‘brand radar’ responsible for guiding and monitoring how our brand is applied internally and externally.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to able to juggle multiple projects and activities, prioritising your workload effectively. Importantly, you’ll need relevant and strong experience in all aspects of marketing with particular emphasis on marketing communications and digital marketing. You need to have strong brand know-how; a clear understanding of the value of brand, and experience managing how it is applied and developed across an organisation. Experience of working to foster greater integration across teams will be paramount together with a great understanding cross channel delivery. Excellent written communications and how to apply them to different audiences is vital too. This post has line management responsibility, so experience of this would be a distinct advantage.
